When creating FRIENDS HOSTEL one of our intentions was to show the artworks of Hungarian painters, architects and inventors to our guests.
We dedicated all of our rooms to famous Hungarian modern painters in different artistic styles from the middle on the XIX. till the end of XX. century.
Our rooms are named after our favourite painters, Csontváry, Vasarely, Ferenczy, Rippl-Rónai, Szinyei and Kassák, who all had very characteristic and innovative style.
Our common areas, corridors (like a small art gallery) are decorated by the paintings of talented contemporary artists, who are by the way our friends as well. We would like to introduce you Julka, Gergely and other young talents' artworks.
On the walls you can also see our own photographs of our favorite buildings in Budapest.
Furthermore we would like to introduce the logical games of our famous inventor, Rubik Ernő to all of our guests. Maybe you have already heard about the Rubik cube? Of course you can try your skills and if you like it, you can buy these games.
Our culture oriented staff will also do everything to help you to find the museums you are looking for or to answer your questions.
We are not only about Arts & Paintings:
We have board games, TV with sat channels, board games, games console (retro Dreamcast) and a table soccer to make your stay as funny as possible.
We organize cook 2gether events or pub crawls once every week in high season!
